Pilot Charts show historical averages of winds, waves and currents, and are very useful for planning ocean passages.
This will be a fun, hands on evening. We will start with a lecture explaining how to read pilot charts and how to do passage planning based on them. Then, we will do some exercises with the pilot charts.
Please bring a pen or pencil and something to write on. Although the lighting in our meeting room is better than what you would find on a typical boat, if you have a magnifying glass, please bring it also.
Look forward to seeing you all for an exciting evening of nautical adventure!
