Sailpast & Race.
Hello TCYC Members.
Well, summer will soon be upon us and the weather for Sailpast will no doubt be flawless! As you all know Saturday May 9th is our Sailpast, our first in honour of Commodore Stephen Snell.
Member attendance is mandatory for the Sailpast portion of the day's events. This doesn't mean that if you have a family emergency you can't let us know and attend to things but this is a requirement of membership, and is the only mandatory event of the year. Besides, it's regal, traditional, and fun!
The Sailpast will commence at 11 AM sharp. Please be in the area of the Commodore's boat on time. It can take a while to get to Tiddly Cove from False Creek, especially in a westerly and/or a flood tide. Tiddly Cove is located near Sandy Cove Park (approx.. N49 20.397 W123 13.740) on the West Vancouver shoreline.
Sailpast Race: This years race could be interesting if we continue with a longer course and other changes designed to make the race more competitive.
